I'm a little late for posting this but wanted to take a moment to recommend Pedro Abrantes with Vtours Algarve - especially for those traveling with babies and small children. Pedro was exactly what we needed and was also super safe and professional. He handled all of our airport pickups/hotel dropoffs and planned two great days for us (Lagos and Sagres one day and hiking the Seven Hanging Vallys trail and Carvoeiro). What made his tours stand out was the availability of sizes of carseats for our little guy (9 months at the time) and the fact that we could use his stroller/buggy as well. The transport van was spacious, clean, and a super smooth ride. He also took photos and provided us with photos and videos at the end of the trip. Our group of five (and our luggage) was picked up by Pedro Abrantes at our resort in Salema. In a single day he took us to Sagres, Lagos (to drop off one of our friends at the train station), and then a scenic/historical tour of places along the way to our final destination in Faro. Using impeccable English, his narratives were informative and his responses to our (many) questions were both direct and entertaining. Pedro went above and beyond, providing us with cold water and portable phone chargers, and he even negotiated an ocean-view lunch seating at a Michelin-star restaurant where we did not have a reservation. Also, his vehicle (a Mercedes-Benz eight-passenger van) was squeaky clean inside and out. I would recommend Pedro to anyone needing reliable and relaxing transportation in the Algarve. It was worth every penny.
The Beach at the End of the World!

Our trip to Lagos and Sagres was simply amazing. We went to the End of the World and saw the lighthouse and fortress and felt the wild Atlantic wind on our faces. But, before that, we went to the most western beach in the Algarve and felt it’s silky soft sand on our feet and marveled at the 300 foot high cliffs surrounding it. And, you cannot miss Ponta da Piedade - it is the most amazing landscape in all of Europe. The cliffs and the royal blue water are beautiful. What brought it all together was our knowledgeable guide who took us to the best spots for the best pictures and took special care that 3 generations of our family were enjoying themselves. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience not to be missed and you should do it with a superior tour company such as VTours to ensure a wonderful experience. Finally, please take your guide’s restaurant recommendations to heart and enjoy!
