About this activity

Delve into the best of the Algarve, while not having to worry about driving and parking between popular spots. We will provide you with as much local knowledge, history, culture and tips as possible. Then, in each place, you will also have time on your own to explore. For shared tours we do not pickup from different points.. Therefore, this tour starts at a single meeting point, at the public parking lot in front (across the street) of the Vila Galé Cerro Alagoa hotel at 9:00 am and ends at the same point at about 4:30 pm. The times for each stop must be met. When in Lagos old town, we will park outside the walled city, then we`ll lead you walking to the center of the city, giving you tips for restaurants as well as places to visit.The guide will then set up a meeting point for pick up, and from there the customers will have more than 2 and a half hours to enjoy Lagos on their own. 30 min - Algar Seco Park is a network of caves, pools and incredible rock formations, which are well worth visiting

Carvoeiro
1 hr - Once, just a typical Algarve fishing village nestled in a valley and flanked by high limestone cliffs, Carvoeiro is now a popular, ever expanding resort town. That said the beach is still the focus of the town and this area retains much of its charm. Whitewashed, terracotta-tiled villas and cottages cling to the cliff sides forming a kind of amphitheatre with all eyes on Carvoeiro's prime asset - the beach.

Ponta da Piedade Lighthouse
30 min - The cliffs of the Ponta da Piedade headland is one of the finest natural features of the Algarve. This dramatic limestone coastline is formed of sea pillars, fragile rock arches and hidden grottos, all of which have been chiselled-out by savage winter storms.

Lagos
2 hr 45 min - Lagos is a historic and characterful city that is situated on the beautiful Western Algarve. It is a city that boasts a rich seafaring heritage and a coastline of dramatic natural scenery, and today is one of the Algarve’s finest holiday destinations. We will park outside the walled town, then our guide will lead you on a walking tour to the center of town, giving you tips for restaurants as well as places to visit. The town is small, so you can easily cover the most interesting places on foot. The guide will then set a meeting point to collect everyone later for return. Then from there the customers will have more than 2 and a half hours to enjoy Lagos on their own.

Spectacular guided tour in the Algarve

My wife and I hired Gabriel for a full day private tour and it was the best money spent on our trip to the Algarve. He was very punctual, full of energy, very knowledgeable and passionate about many things but particularly about Portugal and the Algarve. We had the best time exploring and hearing the history and stories made it all that much better. Don’t waste time looking around for anyone else. We highly recommend Gabriel as your tour guide when you visit the Algarve.

Gabriel was extremely engaging and led the tour with a big smile! Some fantastic locations to see in the Algarve and I would highly recommend. Just don't order the Cataplana for lunch if you're pushed for time!

Fun engaging expertise delivered with a smile

Being a "local" and having lived in Albufeira for a good part of my Life, only made the experience with Gabriel even more pleasurable! He has a level of expertise and knowledge of the region that is guaranteed to entertain, instruct and reveal more of the amazing parts of the region we covered in out tour with him over the course of an entire day. I ended up learning something new and even visited parts of the Algarve I had not seen before. Always attentive and energetic, Gabriel has the entire tour covered from the logistics to the factual coverage of everything we see along he way. So highly recommend doing this tip, you will have truly uncovered a part of the Algarve you did not know before!

Lovely experience in December

Visited gorgeous locations in Carvoeiro and Lagos with no crowds to contend with. The weather cooperated for a warm and sunny experience. The guide gave us a great introduction to the area with everything from history to local personalized tips.
