We start our tour with your pick-up from your Hotel in the Albufeira area and depart for
a safari adventure through the natural wonders of the Algarve and its mountains. Enjoy a real adventure in a convertible jeep (with a roof in case of rain). This tour has off-road trails, beautiful landscapes, regional architecture, medieval monuments, traditional villages and natural water sources where you can dive into the waters of the stream. The excursion also includes the traditional trade where we can see regional products such as liqueurs, honey and jams.
On the offroad paths we will see large fruit plantations with small streams and water irrigation systems left by the Romans.
Guides will provide you with information about our culture and region, at the end of the tour, relax back at your hotel.

Albufeira

Meeting point and departure for the tour.
From Albufeira we will leave for the tour, we will find the traditional Algarvian houses. On the way we will see irrigation systems used by the former farmers of the Algarve and many of them still from Roman times.

Paderne Castle

Visit the castle from medieval times, the castle of Paderne is one of the castles of the Portuguese national flag. Castle from the Moorish period, when the Arabs still ruled the Algarve. In this place we will enjoy the beauty around. (Interior of the castle it is only possible to visit when the municipality opens to the public)

Our tour guide Jose was a complete A-Z of f everything that the local area and Algarve in general has to offer. His love his job was clear to see. If you are looking for a different way to spend a morning and to learn about local culture and history then this trip is certainly worth going on.

Another side of Albuferia

amazing half day trip, tour guide was amazing. really enjoyed it - a great break from the hustle and bustle of the old town/strip of albuferia you get to see another side of Albuferia.

Only downfall is we went on a Sunday and there wasnt much open so didnt get to do much tasting - went home with some freshly picked oranges though!

Very enjoyable and a chance to see a bit of rural Algarve. The driver Roy was very knowledgeable and obviously enjoys his work. I left an item on the vehicle after our drop off and before I realised it was missing, Roy returned it to the hotel. Thank you.

Our tour was amazing! We were able to do & experience things in town that we wouldn’t have. We got to go to local shops, markets, & see the springs which were picturesque. Our guide was amazing !

We had a fantastic time on the Jeep Safari. The tour guide / driver was great fun and informative and we got to try local treats like fire water , local honey, lemons and almonds

Very disappointing

We loved Joseph! He was a wealth of knowledge that he enjoyed sharing. We were also extremely disappointed that we weren't told upon booking that the castle would not be open on a Tuesday! That's the 1 thing we most looked forward to seeing. The windmill was also not opened! So, another thing promised that we didn't get to see. We paid full price but got half of a tour! Really a rip-off.
